"Fair, not precarious" — NEUWERK supports the demands made by Hamburg’s trainee lawyers

No other federal state pays its trainee lawyers as badly as Hamburg. In a campaign that calls for “fair, not precarious” work (Fair statt Prekär), Hamburg’s trainees are demanding a reform of their subsistence allowance and staged a demonstration to protest the current situation on December 8.

Here at NEUWERK we also support the demand for fair pay and better treatment of trainee lawyers, for whom the current remuneration is often not enough in one of Germany’s most expensive cities.
