Dr. Jens Schenk
Jens Schenk joined NEUWERK as an associate in January 2022. His practice focuses on commercial litigation.
He completed his legal training at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg and held positions, inter alia, at the Labour Court, an international law firm and at NEUWERK in his current area of practice.
He completed his dissertation on the topic of "Diversity and Unity of Dominating Influence - A Comparison of Company Group Concepts in Stock Corporation, Group Accounting and Merger Control Law" in 2019. During his doctoral studies, he worked at the Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Corporate Law and Legal Theory with Prof. Dr Thilo Kuntz, LL.M. (University of Chicago) in Bremen and in the Corporate/M&A practice group of the international law firm Linklaters in Hamburg.
Jens Schenk studied law at the University of Bremen and „Comparative and European Law (LL.B.)“ at the Hanse Law School of the Universities of Oldenburg and Bremen. As part of a one-year course at the University of Warwick (UK), he obtained the Certificate in English Law. During his studies, he gained practical experience in the legal department of an IT group in Stuttgart and at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Brussels.
